Abstract
Handwritten letter from Thomas Schmidt, of the Danish Consulate in New York, to the Superintendent of Sailors' Snug Harbor [at this time R. P. Smythe, and also presumably received by Governor Thomas Melville], requesting a death certificate for a former inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, Charles Larsen, also known as Charles Lauridsen. Mr. Schmidt also asks if he left any property or valuables.
