Abstract
Handwritten letter from Thomas Greenleaf, Controller, Office of the Trustees of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Thomas Melville, asking him to provide the bearer, E. J. Hutchings, a suit of summer clothing as a sample from which he can make a suit from the same pattern for Sailors' Snug Harbor. Appears to have accompanied the letter of recommendation for Mr. Hutchings from Ambrose Snow of Snow & Burgess on March 7, 1878.
