Identifier
SC-0016-III-A-1-0120Abstract
Handwritten letter from Hermon W. Ladd, of Webster and Ladd, addressed to the Sailors' Snug Harbor Hospital. Ladd explains that the "matron" of the hospital saw an agent of his company at "The American Institute Fair" and suggested that an "Invalid Bolster" be sent to the Hospital, as it might be beneficial. The letter accompanies a bolster and Ladd asks the recipient to contact him if the Hospital wishes to keep it. The presence of the letter in the Governor's Office correspondence suggests that it may have been handled by Captain Thomas Melville.Name
