Letter to Captain Thomas Melville, Governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor, from Miss L. H. Lounsbury, of Brooklyn, N.Y., December 27, 1878
Identifier
SC-0016-III-A-1-0139Abstract
Handwritten letter from Miss L. H. Lounsbury, of Brooklyn, N.Y., to Captain Thomas Melville, asking whether a specific individual is or has been an inmate at Sailors' Snug Harbor. The spelling of the name is unclear--perhaps "Baslour" but a date in pencil at the top of the letter, October 11, 1876, is the death date of SSH inmate Edwin Barlow, so it is possible that the letter refers to him.
