Abstract
The permit is from the Metropolitan Board of Health, giving permission to transfer the body of Eldridge Sweet from Sailors' Snug Harbor to East Greenwich Road for the purpose of interment. The permit is accompanied by a letter from James Dempsey, coroner, to a Mr. "Graim", regarding the moving of the body of Eldridge Sweet and its burial.

[Cataloger's note: The name "Graim" is difficult to read and may be a misspelling, perhaps of "Graham", given the number of misspellings in the note itself.]
