Handwritten letter from Thomas Greenleaf, Controller, Office of the Trustees of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to the Governor, informing him that John W. Lewis was readmitted to the Snug Harbor the previous day (March 27, 1882) by vote of the Board of Trustees. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
