Abstract

Handwritten letter from Dr. T. C. [Thomas Clarkson] Moffatt, of Seamen's Fund and Retreat, to Captain Thomas Melville, regarding the return of an inmate, Pat [Patrick] Rooney, from the Seamen's Fund and Retreat to Sailors' Snug Harbor. Moffatt notes that Rooney no longer has the disease he was afflicted with. Moffatt also notes that the return of Rooney was at the request of Captain Ferrier.
