Abstract
Handwritten will of John Hickey, which appoints John W. James his executor. Hickey leaves money to Father Barry, pastor of St. Peter's Church in New Brighton, and leaves any additional money and personal effects to James or James's wife. The witnesses to the document are James Robinson and Albert Cook, both residents of Sailors' Snug Harbor. Written while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor. [Cataloger's note: The named executor is presumably the same John W. James who was a resident of Sailors' Snug Harbor at the time.]
