Abstract

Handwritten letter from J. A. Davis, to Captain Thomas Melville, accompanying [tax?] receipts for 1878 and 1880 [not attached to letter], which Melville requested. Davis asks him to confirm receipt, to be sent to him at the West Side Hotel, 15th St. and 6th Ave., New York. In the upper left corner is an embossed seal of a woman's head in profile.
