Abstract
Handwritten letter from Horace A. Buttolph, physician at the New Jersey State Asylum for the Insane, to Dr. Stephen Van Rensselaer Bogart, of Sailors' Snug Harbor, informing him of the death of Charles Peterson and notifying him that the body was interred in the Morristown Cemetery. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
