Receipt signed by E. J. Cunningham, of Tompkinsville [Staten Island?] acknowledging having received from Dr. C. [Charles] Henry King, of Sailors' Snug Harbor a "large bound copy of the Testament and Psalms," which belonged to the late Captain Joseph H. Wade, an inmate of the Snug Harbor at his death. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
