Abstract

Handwritten letter from N. D. Cozzens, Superintendent, Tugs and Barges, [New York,] West Shore and Buffalo Railroad Co., to Captain Thomas Melville, requesting a Sunday pass to visit the Sailors' Snug Harbor in order to see some of his former shipmates. The writer notes the date as 1883 but the notation on the letter for filing has it as 1882.
