Abstract
Handwritten letter from Stephen Riley to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, asking for help, as he is on the streets. He states that he worked as a carpenter on the ship Charles Farwell and that Trask was responsible for paying him while in that position. He asks to be admitted to Sailors' Snug Harbor and asks that a letter be sent to Captain [Ambrose] Snow if help is available.
