Abstract

Handwritten letter from Edward K. Osborne, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, stating that he has had "no success in obtaining signatures" and mentions petitioners. He states that overall, the mood of the institution is good. A partial note, perhaps from Trask as a draft reply, is scribbled along one edge of the paper. [Cataloger's note: The only date given is December 13 but it is filed with the letters from 1886.]
