Handwritten letter from James Lewis Cross to the keeper of Sailors' Snug Harbor, asking about the status of his brother-in-law, Horatio L. Fitzhugh. The author explains that they have written to him at the Harbor several times but have not received a response. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
