Handwritten letter from James Lewis Cross to the keeper of Sailors' Snug Harbor, asking about the status of his brother-in-law, Horatio L. Fitzhugh. The author explains that they have written to him at the Harbor several times but have not received a response. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
The collection is on permanent loan at the Stephen B. Luce Library of SUNY Maritime College. The Sailors' Snug Harbor records are the Property of the Trustees of the Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
