Abstract
Handwritten letter from William G. Nimmo, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor residing at the  New Jersey State Asylum for the Insane, Morris Plains, N.J., to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, stating that he is in good health and denying allegations made in correspondence between Dr. [Henry DeWitt] Joy and Dr. [Edward C.] Booth that Nimmo had sent insulting letters to the Matron and other women at the Harbor. He states that if the letters to Mrs. Hammond and Miss Kelley are produced, Trask will find that Nimmo was respectful in them.
