Abstract

Handwritten letter from John Lyvere, former inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, stating that he is glad to hear Trask has been reappointed as governor of the Harbor, as he felt that everything was well run under Trask's supervision while he was briefly in the hospital at the Harbor the previous December.
