Abstract
Handwritten letter from Maurice Digard [Digrad?], to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, requesting permission to work in the city as an interpreter on a steamship once in a while. Digard states he can not do any hard work due to palpitations in his heart, and uses what work he can to support his four children. Digard also notes he is a widower.
