Abstract
Handwritten letter from L. [Lorenzo] W. Lovejoy, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, requesting a leave of absence for thirty days so he could see his wife. There is a notation on the bottom stating that he was given one month leave from July 17th, and will be expelled if he is found to be working during that time.
