Abstract
Handwritten letter from Chas [Charles] B. Reynolds, of Phelps, Doremus & Corbett, "Manufacturers and Dealers in Cabinet Furniture, Mattresses &c" to Captain Thomas Melville regarding the matter of a sofa that was delivered to the Sailors' Snug Harbor in a damaged condition. Mr. Reynolds believes the ferry company was responsible for the damage but offers to repair the sofa if it is returned to them.
