Abstract
Handwritten letter from a representative of Crocker, Wood & Co., to Captain Thomas Melville, introducing Mr. J. Benedict, the supplier of some coffee sent to Sailors' Snug Harbor by Crocker, Wood & Co. at the beginning of February 1878. The writer notes that Mr. [Thomas?] Greenleaf had contacted Crocker, Wood & Co. about the shipment of coffee and Crocker, Wood & Co. are following up with Mr. Benedict to "make the matter thoroughly satisfactory to you."
