Handwritten letter from Ambrose Snow, of Snow & Burgess, to Captain Thomas Melville, explaining that he had a visitor, Thomas McCormick, who told him of a man named Adam Lake, who is very ill, in Richmond County. Snow states that he does not personally know Lake but asks if Melville will consider accepting him into the Sailors' Snug Harbor to "smoothe the way of his decent [sic] to the Grave."Type Of Resource
