Abstract
Letter to Captain Thomas Melville from C. [Charles] Henry King, of the Seamen's Retreat Hospital, Stapleton, Staten Island, N.Y.. King recommends the bearer, Thomas Condreu [Condieu?], who has been employed as a painter at the Seamen's Retreat Hospital, and who wishes to find employment at Sailors' Snug Harbor. A rough rectangle has been cut out of one corner of the letter (the left corner of the front page).
