Handwritten file copy of a letter from Governor Thomas Melville to Captain W. C. Thompson, explaining that Melville received Thompson's letter regarding readmitting Henry (?) Steel but that, as Steel had been permanently expelled by the Board of Directors at their last regular meeting on September 30, he could not readmit Steel without additional orders. Melville states that he saw Captain [Ambrose] Snow [of the Board of Directors] and Snow said that he had forgotten the fact that Steel was permanently expelled. Type Of Resource
