Abstract
Handwritten letter from Thomas Bradley, to the Governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor, presumably received by Captain Thomas Melville, thanking him for the information that Captain J. [James] B. Bell, the late commander of the ship William Tapscott, is an inmate at Sailors' Snug Harbor. He asks the Governor for updated information on the state of Bell's health. This appears to be a follow-up letter, though perhaps from a different sender and/or in a different hand, to the letter about James B. Bell of August 1878.
