Handwritten letter from John R. Clark to Captain Thomas Melville, acknowledging receipt of Melville's letter of the 18th about "sows in young". He asks if "Miller" will confirm that the pigs in question are sows and he asks for one to be shipped to him. He mentions that James Roth will know where to ship it and asks Melville to ensure that the crate is large enough. He wishes Melville and his wife a merry Christmas and happy New Year and asks Melville to notify him in writing two or three days before shipping the pig.Type Of Resource
