Abstract
Handwritten letter from a representative of J. W. Mason & Co. to Captain Thomas Melville, asking him to give the bearer of the letter one each of the bedroom chairs and hall chairs that the company manufacturered for Sailors' Snug Harbor the previous year, as the patterns for the chairs have been mislaid, so examples are needed to work from in order to create more to the same specifications. A note at the bottom, perhaps by Melville, states that an armchair and bedroom chair have been delivered to the bearer of the letter.
