Handwritten letter from Lieutenant Edward Hagerup, of the Royal Norwegian Navy, to the "Director" of Sailors' Snug Harbor asking him to read the enclosed letter to his uncle, Ferdinand Kühle, who is a blind inmate at the Harbor, and to deliver him the enclosed $5 bill. A later note at the bottom of the page is dated June 8. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was the Governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.Name
