Handwritten letter from J. H. H. [James Henry Hobbs] Hewett, attorney, to Captain Thomas Melville, regarding Hewett's client, Captain John Patterson, an inmate at Sailors' Snug Harbor. Hewett explains that he is Patterson's attorney and executor and understands Patterson to be ill and not expected to recover, so requests a telegram be sent to him upon Patterson's death. Hewett also wishes Patterson's remains to be sent to him at the request of Patterson's children.Type Of Resource
