Faircloth of Jersey City, to the "Captain in Charge," requesting a copy of the inmate record for Captain Isaac Crowell, as Faircloth wishes to erect a headstone in his memory and does not know his age. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor. There is an embossed seal of an anchor in the upper left hand corner of the first page.Type Of Resource
