Abstract
Handwritten letter from William I. Fielding, president of the National Mattress Company, to Captain Thomas Melville, mentioning that the last time Fielding wrote to Melville, Melville had responded that the new hospital building would be ready for furnishing in August [1882]. Fielding asks whether iron beds will be required and, if so, asks for details on the type of bed and mattress to be provided.
