Abstract
Handwritten letter from Rev. Chas. [Charles] J. Jones, Chaplain of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Thomas Melville, regarding a complaint Jones has about an inmate named Joseph Wilson. According to Jones, Wilson has been disturbing the prayer meetings that Jones holds, and notes this is his third offense. Jones asks Melville to do something about Wilson's behavior, and provides a list of names to act as witnesses of the incident, including Cornelius Stevens, Evan Jones, Josiah B. Fitch, Thomas Colder, John Parrott, John Wilson, John Fisher, and John Boyd.
