Abstract

Handwritten letter from Sarah Blasland, of South Boston, Massachusetts, to Mr. [Joseph K.?] Clark [Steward?], regarding his letter to her about the death of her brother, [William Blasland]. Blasland has written to Mr. B. B. Blasland of Bath, Maine and would like her brother to be buried in Bath upon his arrangements, or held at Sailors' Snug Harbor until she herself can make arrangements for transportation to Bath. A notation in the upper left corner states that a reply was made by the governor on February 25, 1885. Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
