Abstract

Handwritten letter from Reverend Clarence E. Eberman, pastor of the Castleton Corners Moravian church, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, regarding two men, Edward Newman and John McCarthy, who have told Eberman that they were expelled from Sailors' Snug Harbor due to drunkenness. Eberman believes that their promises not to drink again are sincere and asks if the two men can be readmitted to the Harbor.
