Handwritten letter from Thomas Ferguson, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, again apologizing for poor behavior and asking to be taken back into the Harbor. He mentions having left a note with Captain Sherry to be passed on for the governor back in June. An addendum on the 28th states that he has been to see Captain Lewis, who told Ferguson that he had been expelled and asks again for the governor's aid with this. Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.Type Of Resource
