Abstract

Handwritten letter from Albert J. Parker, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, explaining that he went to New York City for several days and when he returned, the gatekeeper said that he had violated the rules and would not be readmitted. He states that he attempted to speak to Trask without success and went to Captain [Ambrose] Snow, who said that he would see Trask about Parker's case. Parker states that he will return to see Trask the following day.
