Abstract

Handwritten letter from Thomas McCloskey, former inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, begging forgiveness for his past transgressions and requesting readmission to the Harbor. [Cataloger's Note: The spelling of McCloskey's name is questionable. In this letter it is "McCloskey" but this is presumably the same person as Thomas McCluskey, although the handwriting in each letter is different.]
