Abstract

Handwritten letter from James O. Elliott, former inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor writing from the State Hospital in Poughkeepsie, to Dr. Joyce [sic], asking him to look at a document [perhaps the list in SC-0016-I-D-1-B-054] and let him have his clothing and books that were left at the Harbor. Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
