Abstract

Handwritten letter from Mrs. Graves [Greeves?], to the Managers of Sailors' Snug Harbor, regarding the death of her dear friend Captain [John C.] Harvey. Graves asks if his body could be held until Thursday morning, as Harvey wished to be buried in Greenwood. 

Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
