Abstract

Handwritten letter from John Pyne to Captain Thomas Melville, asking about Alfred Charles Miller, an inmate at Sailors' Snug Harbor. Until the previous June he had corresponded regularly with his sister but since then he has written nothing to her and a letter she sent to him was sent back as it had been delivered to the wrong person. Pyne asks for an update on Miller and for Melville to forward an enclosed item/letter to Reverend [Charles J.] Jones.
