Abstract

Handwritten letter from G. W. Scott, to the Superintendent of Sailors' Snug Harbor, regarding his dealings with a man named W. L. Murray, who claimed to be an inmate at the Harbor. Scott had paid Murray in advance to rig a boat that Murray was working on, and has never received said boat. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors’ Snug Harbor.
