Abstract
Handwritten letter from J. [John] B. Tullock, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, describing the poor condition of the shirts given to him by "Clark" [Steward Joseph K. Clark?] and expressing gratitude for the new shirt given to him by Trask. He goes on at some length about patched and worn shirts being given to inmates, including "Uncle John" and complains about both Clark and "Mac" and their behavior toward him.
