Abstract

Handwritten letter from James Donnelly, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, explaining that he was struck without provocation on the evening of Tuesday, December 27, by J. Brown and that his account can be verified with other individuals who were present.  Received while Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask was the governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.
