Abstract
Handwritten recommendation letters from Rev. Wm. B. [William Black] Yates and James Berry, commander of the S. S. Charleston, for a man named Captain Geo. [George] Londrick. Both of these authors recommend Londrick for admission to the Harbor. Received while Captain Thomas Melville was governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor.

[Cataloger's Note: The letter written by Rev. Wm. B. [William Black] Yates is addressed to "Joseph Melville", which he presumably meant as Thomas Melville.]
