Handwritten letter from Wlliam M. Haynie, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, relating how he found an anonymous set of verses derogatory to Captain Trask and Captain [Ambrose] Snow when he returned to his room. He wishes to deny any connection between himself and the critical poetry.
