Handwritten statements regarding fellow inmate Ira G. McClellan by Hiram M. Chaffee, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor. In one, he asserts that McClellan verbally abused Thomas Cufflin and the second describes an incident where McClellan was drunk and made threats after requesting to see Calvin Perkins. [Cataloger's note: The notes are undated but describe incidents occurring on March 11, 1888.]
