Handwritten letter from Patrick H. Dawes, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, complaining about his roommate, "Somers" [sp?], who is being rude to him, including sweeping dirt from under his bed to Dawes's side and verbally attacking Dawes. Dawes has gone to Captain Shay [Shea?] and complained but his roommate continues to offend.
[Cataloger's note: The letter is undated but is filed in the January - June 1889 folder.]
