Letter to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, Governor of Sailors' Snug Harbor, from Robert B. Childs, former inmate, Sailors’ Snug Harbor, October 3, [1889]
Identifier
SC-0016-I-D-1-B-248Abstract
Handwritten letter from Robert B. Childs, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, asking permission to get a black felt hat and one of his overcoats, which are not the property of the Harbor. As he does not know when the Trustees will address the matter of his suspension and the weather is cold, he would like his clothing. [Cataloger's note: SSH records have Childs's name spelled "Childs" but his own handwriting appears to spell it as "Childe." Cross-referencing for spelling purposes.]Type Of Resource
