Handwritten letter from George Hogarth, inmate and clothing clerk of Sailors' Snug Harbor, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, stating that Oscar F. Stroud, a fellow inmate, claims that an overcoat he brought with him in 1885 was placed in the attic of House F and that Stroud has not been able to find it since. Stroud explained to Hogarth that his overcoat from the previous winter belonged to the Grand Army and was lent to him but that he now has no overcoat in his possession. Type Of Resource
