Abstract
Handwritten letter from John T. Webb, inmate of Sailors' Snug Harbor, from the center gate, to Captain Gustavus D. S. Trask, describing an encounter with D. [David] C. Wood, where Wood claimed to have a pass, which he had forgotten, to come in at 10:55 pm, but when Webb asked to see the pass the following morning, the ink looked fresh. He encloses the pass for Trask's examination [pass not attached to letter].
